Harbin Shipping School, attached to Heilongjiang Shipping Administration, is the only provincial and ministerial key school aiming to cultivate ocean and inland river operational senior crew in north China. Located in the beautiful Songbei New District of Harbin, the school is adjacent to Sun Island, a famous state-level scenic spot, and Manchurian Tiger Park, enjoying quiet environment. It covers an area of 100,000 square meters and construction area of over 20,000 square meters and boasts complete supporting teaching and living facilities. The school passed the certification of Maritime Education and Training Quality Management System in 2000, becoming a government designated crew education and training institution. The one-time pass rate of our navigation graduates participating in the national unified Duty Machinist & Sailor examination reaches 96%, topping the northeast examination district. The school and Dalian Maritime University jointly open adult college courses to save time and funds for students.
